My 8 favorite details happening on the New Construction Farmhouse right now!

I have been working with an amazing client on her dream of building a new construction farmhouse for over a year now.  After all the ideas are tossed around, the plans are drawn (and redrawn) and things are priced (and sometimes re-priced) and you wait patiently for the hole in the ground to become a structure…there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the vision you shared together start to materialize in flooring, cabinets and sparkly light fixtures!  Here are the top things I’m most excited about in this Farmhouse build right now!

Brick wall in powder room

Notoriously hard to photograph, the brick veneer wall in this powder room is just the beginning of what will be a show stopping little nook once the black bellied sink is hung and lighting is installed.

Built-ins in office

I stop and do a double take every time I pass by the office off the foyer and this wall of custom cabinets.

Sparkly lighting in bathroom

Who doesn’t love a little bling?

Crystal Knobs

Speaking of bling…crystal knobs make an appearance in the upstairs bathroom and kitchen island.

White kitchen with navy island

There are so many favorites in this kitchen and it is far from complete!  The black windows over the sink area are accented with sconce lights and the glass cabinet uppers are a perfect way to break up the white with a translucent surface .  Can’t wait to see the quartz tops installed!

Trio of trays

One of my favorite last minute additions- the foyer hallway is highlighted by these three square trays built into the ceiling, each with a hanging glass light at the center.  A little WOW right when you walk in the door.

The. Tile. Flooring.

From the matte white and black bath flooring to the shiny little hex tile in the master- the flooring feels vintage and modern and timeless all at the same time.

The Craft Room

This is the most daring and my absolute favorite part of the farmhouse project.  The gingham tile floor pattern was a challenge worth conquering.  And I couldn’t be more pleased with the addition of the “X” motif to the island ends.

And there you have it!

Can’t wait to show you the full reveal- Coming to the Blog in September!
