Demo begins on the last original room in our Farmhouse Remodel!

Our little house has been through a lot in the past 12 years and we’re not done yet- with an anticipated new garage addition hopefully starting this summer!  But before we tackle that takedown and rebuild, we have one room left to demo in our house.  The only room left that hasn’t been gutted down to it’s studs.  The only room left with the original lath, plaster, wallpaper and bright paint color slapped onto a bruised and bubbled surface…  One might wonder how this singular room slipped through the cracks of our extensive demolition days when we made the rounds from room to room.  Well, to preserve my sanity I asked for one storage room to keep important stuff.  Hence the survival of this little “coral room” upstairs.

It went from being jam-packed with all my decorations and possessions, to emptied and cleaned…

To being staged and decorated as a temporary little guest room…

I even embraced the bright color and chose a rug and décor to highlight the fun punchiness of the room.  As much as I enjoyed living in a home that was pretty much 100% intact, I knew this room too needed to be refreshed.  So we have officially began the demo of the very last original room in our 100 year old Farmhouse Remodel!

We’re half done- wish us luck on the rest of the room!

Hopefully I’ll have some more updates for you soon!
