Favorite Photo: Countdown to Summer Continues

June first began with a lovely thunderstorm that watered all my little landscape successes at the edge of my field (read the full story on that later this week)!

To honor my favorite month I intend to share the most memorable images of my June- all 30 days, all right here- but we won’t always be in real time.  So to start this week off right, I am going back to the photography that kicked off the series on Facebook.  The remaining “Countdown to Summer” shots from late last week…

Dandelion dreams

This is what happens when you don’t have time to mow your field…  You get a trail of dandelions at dusk that look like a storybook picture.  I titled this shot “Dandelion Dreams.”

campfire

The absolute best memories I have of moving into our house during the chaos of construction were those early spring nights when we put down our sledge hammers to sit by a little campfire in our yard.  Those quiet moments by a crackling fire kept us sane through the remodel.  It was in those moments that the stresses of our life and the obstacles of the house would melt away and we would remind ourselves how lucky we really were.

Homeward bound

Cars on the highway heading south after a long weekend up north.  I stuck my head out the truck window to grab this shot.  Nick gets naming honors, he calls this image:

“Homeward Bound”

Don’t miss out on any of the 30 Days of June!  Daily photo journal will be shared each Friday!  Receive updates by liking Katie Jane Interiors Blog on Facebook.
