September Favorite Photo
This September we took a trip. I am going to start saying “trip” more because when called a “vacation” there opened up a debate as to the meaning of a vacation. For some, a vacation is pure relaxation and departure from activity and thought. I have been informed that it is not reading about history and hiking miles of battlefields! So- to each their own! When we travel we gravitate towards history, architecture, cemeteries.
Places that reflect a moment in time that changed the course of mankind.
Places that house the remains of people who once lived in these very different times.
Places that still preserve the art and ideas of those who no longer walk this earth.
I can share these photos from the top of the viewing tower looking out at a battlefield of the Civil War and of the Harper’s Ferry Cemetery and I can try to tell you how meaningful an experience this trip became for me.
Or I can just declare my favorite photo of the trip this universal image of “vacation.”

To whatever your definition of vacation ends up being- to whatever inspires and restores your soul so you can get back at your day to day routine again-
Cheers!
