March Favorite Photo
Before the clock runs out on this Easter Sunday and the very last day of March I thought I would share a picture sent to me from my sister in Georgia.
Sunrise on Tybee Island.
Two years ago that was us, standing on the beach as the sunrise service echoed from the pavilion, all 9 of us at that time: Me & Nick, our four kiddos, our niece Clair, and Ben & Andrea. Of course, despite waking the kids up unreasonably early on our last day in Savannah for Spring break, it was overcast and the brilliance of the moment was not on par with this colorful image. We enjoyed the beauty of the morning at the beach just the same, never knowing what we were missing.
I enjoy watching the sunrise most mornings from my living room. I watch the sun creep up over the horizon and set the field and tree line ablaze with color. It never gets old. I hope to be visiting my sister again for Easter in the future to see the slow rise of the sun over the ocean’s edge. I imagine it’s beauty takes you by surprise every time.
