Then and Now Favorite Photo

Let’s end the year with a very special Favorite Photo post, one that goes back to my idyllic childhood.

A photo of my brother and I as children on a sunny winter day. This was taken in the lane of the field behind my parent’s house. Then the retake of the moment in 2016. And now a photo of my brother, father and Nick taken at the beginning of this December when we were sure the snow was here to stay and a white Christmas awaited us.

Oh how the years have changed us…

The years have aged us, weathered us, grown us up.

But the land has healed us…

The land has reminded us of the children we once were.

The land has let us dream of the days that the years have claimed.

The land has shown us that despite all the changes, our love for this place has remained the same.
