The fun of creating these dioramas is letting your imagination run wild. Using found objects, in some cases painting ghosts into calendar pictures for a backdrop (genius!), and creating miniature sized accessories that fit in a box sized setting. The rest of the party was full of cookie decorating, playing in our field and a campfire full of a variety of tales, from haunted capers to the re imagining of an origin story of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I hope to continue this new fall event for a few years to come. There is always a chance that these kiddos will outgrow the traditions we try to create but as long as the adults are in on the fun we will keep finding reasons to gather and celebrate!
Happy Halloween!
