Before and After Fireplace surround
When I walked into this clients home a few months ago to consult on new counter tops and back splash in the kitchen, I was immediately drawn to the peachy-pink granite surround on the fireplace. With the intention to neutralize some of the warm tones in the home by repainting the walls to a cooler shade, I knew the fireplace would stick out like a sore thumb.
Before:
The classic fireplace just needed a simple makeover to look like a brand new feature in this home. And a makeover is what it got! By removing the existing stone and replacing it with a marble tile, we were able to reuse the wood surround by repainting it a dramatic and modern color!
After:
A limestone stone hearth from Darboy Stone and Brick was also added.
This project finished up just in time for Christmas and a Holiday get together party just recently.
This couple was fantastic to work with and the results make the home feel fresh and brand new again! A great project that proves the power of color and how a few small updates can make all the difference!
