The difference a year makes (in holiday decor)!
Last year we were walking through my parents woods and the beech trees were calling to me with all their faded orange leaves hanging on. I plucked handfuls out of the brush piles to decorate my holiday tree with. I accessorized with gold, using some sparkly keys I once scooped up from a clearance section. However, this year…it has been snowing since Halloween! The world of premature white inspired me to throw up an artificial tree I had in the barn that is flocked with white snow on every branch. I picked through my ornaments to use more galvanized metals, reds and crystal ornaments. The pine cones are still a staple favorite, but I chose the brown ones over the gold from my collection. Enjoy the contrast between two years!

To go along with the change in tree, here is some of the stunning snow we have been experiencing!
That’s our house above, as viewed from the back field, a long l-o-n-g way from where it was this spring-
Facing down a winter we aren’t even half through may be daunting, but I have so many projects in the works to keep me busy until we see the green again. I hope to share some Before and Afters remodel projects here in early 2020 as well as the ongoing little bedroom makeover and bonus room progress at my house. Thanks for checking in- and I will see you again soon!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
